TENORS: tensor modeling, geometry and optimisation

I am part of the EU Marie Sklodowska-Curie Doctoral Network TENORS (Tensor modEliNg, geOmetRy and optimiSation). In the context of this network, we offer 15 PhD positions starting in September 2024. 

One aspect of TENORS is the geometry of algebraic varieties arising from tensors. The picture below represents a variety of rank-one tensors (yellow), and one of its secant lines (blue). The blue line contains tensors of rank at most 2.
